As winter gave way to the early spring breeze in the highlands, our team was deeply moved by the bright smiles of the people in Boping village. These moments captured the spirit of our crew at POM (now part of PESE) and remain a cherished memory of our community engagement
While working on the Houay LaNge Hydropower Project in a remote region of Laos, we were deeply moved by the simple yet challenging lives of the ethnic villagers in Boping. Amidst the harsh highland weather, we saw children with rosy cheeks from the biting cold, walking barefoot on red dirt roads in thin clothes, lacking even the basic pens and paper needed for school. These scenes left a lasting impression on our team.
When these stories reached our headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City, the POM office responded with an overwhelming wave of solidarity. Our colleagues quickly mobilized to donate essential items—warm clothing, books, and school supplies—each gift carrying a message of hope. Seeing the joy in the children’s eyes and the bright smiles of the villagers as they received these gifts was incredibly moving. It has strengthened our resolve to continue supporting this community, dedicating our energy and compassion toward building a brighter future together.

The joy shared by the Boping villagers is our most meaningful reward, fueling our passion to serve and expand our charitable reach to other underserved communities. The story of Boping Village is more than just an act of giving; it is a testament to the spirit of solidarity that defines the PESE (formerly POM) family. We believe that small actions lead to significant change, and we remain dedicated to creating lasting value and bringing hope to society.
