PESE Contributes to the Successful Commercial Operation of the Savan 1 Wind Power Plant (Lao DPR)

In December 2025, PESE – PECC2 Energy Services and Engineering has recently coordinated with relevant parties to successfully complete the energization of the Savan 1 Wind Power Plant in Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR, contributing to the project’s on-schedule achievement of Commercial Operation. PESE acted as the lead entity for the first-time energization of the 220 kV transmission line and the 220 kV substation, ensuring full compliance with safety and technical requirements.

The project, invested by T&T Group, has a total installation capacity of 495 MW and is developed over an area of nearly 9,000 hectares. During the operational phase of the Savan 1 Wind Power Plant, PESE is responsible for:

1. Carrying out operation activities from the first energization of the 220 kV transmission line and 220 kV substation until Commercial Operation Date (COD) in late December 2025.
2. Providing Operation & Maintenance (O&M) services for the 220 kV substation, 52 km of 220 kV transmission lines (within Lao territory), and 42 km of 35 kV collector lines connecting the wind turbines during the post-COD period.
