A Strong Start to the Major Overhaul of Unit 2 at Duyen Hai 2 Thermal Power Plant

On the morning of September 10, the Launch Ceremony for the Major Overhaul of Unit 2 was held at Duyen Hai 2 Thermal Power Plant in a formal yet dynamic atmosphere. The event brought together representatives of the Plant Owner’s Management Board, the Major Overhaul General Contractor, contractors, technical experts, as well as a large number of project personnel, engineers, technicians, and workers.

The Launch Ceremony marked an important milestone in the commencement of the major overhaul, with the aim of enhancing equipment reliability and ensuring the safe, stable, and efficient operation of the Plant in the next phase.

At the ceremony, representatives of PECC2 — the unit responsible for operating and maintaining the Plant’s auxiliary systems — reaffirmed their commitment to working closely with the Owner, the General Contractor, and other project stakeholders. PECC2 will leverage its technical expertise and strong sense of responsibility to contribute to the successful execution of the overhaul.

Throughout the overhaul, PECC2 will mobilize the necessary resources and maintain close coordination with all parties on safety, security, fire prevention and firefighting, and environmental protection. At the same time, the team will ensure the stable operation of critical auxiliary systems, provide proactive support at site, and promptly address arising issues, contributing to the overall project schedule and successful completion of the overhaul.

The dynamic atmosphere of the Launch Ceremony reflected the strong determination, shared commitment, and close coordination among the Owner, General Contractor, contractors, and all personnel involved in the overhaul. This collective commitment provides an important foundation for the work to be carried out in a coordinated, safe, high-quality, and efficient manner, with the goal of returning Unit 2 to stable and reliable operation as soon as possible.

Building on its experience in plant operation and maintenance, together with a strong sense of responsibility and proactive collaboration among all parties, PECC2 is confident that the Major Overhaul of Unit 2 will be successfully executed. The overhaul will contribute to improving the Plant’s operational performance and supporting a stable and reliable power supply for the national power system.
