HAU GIANG BIOMASS POWER PLANT MINOR OVERHAUL KICKS OFF

On October 1, 2026, the Launch Ceremony for the Minor Overhaul of Hau Giang Biomass Power Plant was officially held at the Plant, marking the start of the overhaul phase with a strong focus on proactive execution, accountability, and achieving the planned objectives. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Owner’s Management and PECC2 Energy Services and Engineering Company Limited (PESE), the O&M service provider directly responsible for carrying out the minor overhaul at the Plant.

A minor overhaul is an important maintenance activity aimed at inspecting equipment, performing maintenance, and addressing outstanding issues to maintain the Plant’s operational reliability, safety, and efficiency. Successful execution requires thorough preparation, strong technical capabilities, and a proactive approach from the entire team. Timely communication, coordinated work planning, and prompt resolution of emerging issues are equally essential to ensuring that all activities proceed smoothly, meet requirements, and remain on schedule.

As the Plant’s direct O&M service provider, PESE has prepared the necessary personnel, resources, and execution plans, enabling work to commence proactively from the outset. Throughout the overhaul, PESE will take direct responsibility for managing and controlling safety, security, fire prevention and firefighting, environmental protection, and site access. At the same time, PESE will maintain plant operations and monitor plant systems to ensure that operational activities remain safe, stable, and under control.

PESE’s personnel will closely monitor each work package, promptly identify and address emerging issues, and proactively mobilize the manpower and resources required to maintain work continuity. Every team and individual will take clear ownership of their responsibilities, working toward a common goal: preventing work disruptions and minimizing any impact on the overhaul plan and schedule.

Guided by the principle of “Safety – Quality – Schedule Compliance,” PESE considers these priorities fundamental throughout the entire overhaul process. In coordination with the Owner and relevant stakeholders, PESE will proactively align the work plan, scope, and execution requirements, while maintaining a high level of initiative, accountability, and commitment. During the ceremony, representatives of the parties signed the Minor Overhaul Commitment, demonstrating their alignment on responsibilities and execution requirements, as well as their commitment to maintaining a disciplined and accountable approach throughout the overhaul.

Building on its experience in plant operation and maintenance, together with thorough preparation of personnel and resources, PESE is ready to undertake the minor overhaul with strong determination. Each work package will receive focused attention, emerging issues will be addressed proactively, and requirements for safety, quality, and schedule compliance will be closely monitored throughout execution.
