Giving life, receiving love: PESE people spread humanitarian values through blood donation

Throughout life, some values cannot be measured in material terms. One of them is the gift of life — something carrying the profound meaning, shared through simple acts of kindness.

Blood is essential to the human body and plays a vital role in sustaining life. Every unit of donated blood can become a precious source of hope for patients undergoing treatment, giving them a greater chance to overcome difficult moments and continue their journey toward recovery.

According to the Vietnam Red Cross Society, more than 1.74 million units of blood were collected nationwide in 2025, with approximately 1.75% of the population participating in blood donation. This encouraging figure reflects the spirit of solidarity and sense of social responsibility shared by communities across Vietnam.

Blood donation is more than an act of charity. It is a deeply humanitarian gesture — one in which each person gives a small part of themselves to offer another person a greater chance at life.

Giving blood, sharing love

In keeping with this spirit of humanity, PESE employees, engineers, and workers currently stationed at Duyen Hai 2 Thermal Power Plant came together to participate in a voluntary blood donation program under the theme “Giving Life, Receiving Love.”

At the blood donation venue in Duyen Hai Ward, Vinh Long Province, PESE team members joined hands to donate their blood and contribute to the community.

Each person has a different role and responsibility at work, but they share one common aspiration: to give what they can to help those in need of blood.

These precious donations will continue their journey to patients undergoing treatment — much like energy flowing through a system, providing strength and hope to those who need it most.

Beyond professional responsibility: a commitment to the community

Every day, the PESE team at Duyen Hai 2 Thermal Power Plant is responsible for operations and maintenance (O&M), contributing to the plant’s stable, continuous, and safe operation.

Yet beyond their professional responsibilities, PESE people also carry a strong sense of responsibility toward the community.

From the technical work behind energy systems to volunteer initiatives that support society, every contribution stems from a shared value: a willingness to give, share, and create positive impact for the community.

For PESE, energy is not only generated and sustained through systems, equipment, or power plants. Energy also comes from people — from kindness, responsibility, and the willingness to make a difference.
