Dau Tieng Lake is one of the largest artificial reservoirs in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, covering approximately 27,000 hectares. Within the section belonging to Tay Ninh Province, a massive solar power complex has been established with an installed capacity of 600 MWp across 600 hectares. This complex, consisting of the Dau Tieng 1, 2, and 3 solar plants, currently stands as the largest solar power cluster in Southeast Asia.
The construction of the Dau Tieng 1 Solar Power Plant utilized the semi-submerged areas of the reservoir. To protect the infrastructure during the rainy season, the developer installed concrete pillars approximately 2.5 meters high, topped with galvanized steel racks to support the solar panels.
The project site for Dau Tieng 1 spans roughly 216 hectares, featuring a total of 545,460 solar panels. Despite the challenging working environment, the dedicated and professional team from PECC2 Energy Service and Engineering Co., Ltd. (PESE) consistently ensures the plant’s performance, maintaining an Availability Factor (AF) of 98% and a Performance Ratio (PR) of 78.48%.
